How to Serve: Çaykur Altınbaş Teapot Sachets

Teapot sachets give you the classic Turkish çaydanlık brew without loose leaves to clean up.

Serving Ideas

  • Brew: Boil water in the bottom pot of a çaydanlık. Place one sachet in the top pot, pour in some boiling water, set it on top and steep on low heat for about 10–15 minutes.
  • No çaydanlık?: Put one sachet in a regular teapot, add about 4 cups of just-boiled water and steep 10 minutes, covered.
  • Pour to taste: Fill each glass part way with the brew and top up with hot water until you reach the color you like.
  • Serve with: Simit, poğaça, cookies or a plate of baklava.

Tips

  • Remove the sachet once brewed so the tea doesn't turn bitter.
  • Warm the glasses with hot water first so the tea stays hot.
